High West A Midwinter Nights Dram

High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram is a limited-release whiskey made by High West, Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870. It’s a blend of High West’s Rendezvous Rye and French oak barrels.
A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 11 is made by finishing Rendezvous Rye in ruby and tawny port barrels. It has a rye base with vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon, and port barrels with plums and dried fruits. Some say it tastes like Christmas plum pudding with mulling spices, dried fruits, and crème anglaise.
A Midwinter Night’s Dram has an ABV of 49.3% and a proof of 98.6. It has a sweet and spicy nose with notes of brandied cherries, fig jam, sun-dried raisins, dried orange peel, baking spice, and French oak toast. On the taste, it has flavors of quince paste, strawberry rhubarb crumble, vanilla caramel, molasses, toffee, and leather.
